Title: Release of Geogenic N/P during Lacustrine Groundwater Discharge: A Case Study at Central Yangtze River Basins

Introduction: Yanxin WANG, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a Professor at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University in 1984 and obtained his Ph.D. from China University of Geosciences in 1990. He conducted collaborative research at the University of Waterloo, Canada, from 1998 to 1999 and was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science in 2023. He serves as a member of the Chinese National Expert Committee for Ecological and Environmental Protection and is the Vice President of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. He is also an editorial board member for the prominent international journals Agricultural and Resource Economics Review and National Science Review, and serves as the chief editor for the SCI journal Journal of Environmental Sciences and the Chinese core journals Earth Science, Resources and Environment in the Yangtze Basin, and Safety and Environmental Engineering. Professor WANG has dedicated his career to teaching and research in groundwater quality and water pollution control. His team focuses on groundwater quality as a core research subject, striving to explore the causes of groundwater quality and the development of pollution control technologies through innovations in theory, methods, and technologies. Their work provides theoretical and technical support for water supply safety. He has received over ten academic awards, including the Applied Hydrogeology Award from the International Association of Hydrogeologists.
